Seattle

So this week I spent in Seattle on a choir trip. There were so many great experiences and many memories that I won't forget. Before I left for Seattle, I had had a very bad week. Even though I wish it never happened. I'm kinda glad it did happen. So the timing for this trip was great. We left tuesday after school. And drove for about 3 hours (felt like more). When we arrived at the hotel we realized that it wasn't a 5 star hotel but it's not about where you stay as much as what you do with it. So I had a hour choir practic and when went t the university village for some grub. After we went to our rooms and settled down. Wednesdy was very busy. We left the hotel at 8 and went to the University of Washington for a workshop with some professional singers. From there we then went to the Art department of the university to a friendly competition. There ere 7 choirs including two from Hansen and the otherchoirs all came from Seattle. After listening to those choirs, we got to listen to the Chamber choir and the Concert choir from the university. Then we went back for a group supper at a fancy resteraunt. Thursday was one of the best days. We traveled for about an hour and got to a high school. We had a choir exchange. Listened to them and they listened to us. What I later found out was that the choir was a national winner of the USA. So it was a pleasure listening to them. I met some really nice people and got a cut guys email. :). Then we went for lunch and then did another choir exchange at Rogers high school. They had two choirs that we listened to and we got to sing twice for them due to two different classes. After that at the same school, we had another workshop with a man that had worked with us the yar before. It was amazing and the suggestions he gave us were aweseome. We then traveled to the heart of Seattle and went shopping. It was ok but we might have gotten in some trouble if it ween't for Tyler and his idea to stop the police officer. So good on ya Tyler. Friday, we went to the Boeing factry and saw the 787 being put together from pieces. In the afternoon we went to the Experience Music Project and got to learn how to play different instruments and create our own bands. " Azian Rejection"! :D. Then we went for a hottub run and had a girls night. Saturday we went to the Fishemans market and got to see a lot of local work. I learnt that I had lost my wallt that morning. The weird thing was I had two separate sectios for money and cards. And I had lost my Canadian stuff. In that wallet I had many lucky pennies that I had found. Every day that I have been out in public I have found lucky pennies. I think thats Gods way of telling me to live toenjoy every day no matter what happens. So I had lost my wallet with my pennies in it and I later found it on the bus in my backpack which I nver put my money in. So thank God. In te afternoon we went to the Outlet mall. Found nothing there but there were some nice cloths for sure. And then from there we went home. I got to meet some crazy people from Hansen that I hadnt gotten to know very well and it will be an experience that I will never forget. :D

Jen,
you brought back a lot of memories of when we had visiting bands; and them being billetted at our house in North Bay; and the bus trips being long and all the things to remember, and then things to lose, and then things to be so RELIEVED about, and things to be thankful for, and then resuming LIFE again after all the travels, and experiences, and new people met...

Thank you for describing it all so that we could enjoy it with you.

You're a great kid!!
you're a great gal!
you're a great niece!

Thanks for loving life so much!!
