Ok, so every year around this time people get excited about easter and just finishing spring break, the months are going by quickly. What people don't realize is that in schools the holiday is just a pro-d day. There is nothing special about this one except for the "christian" community. At christmas people think of santa and at easter it's chocolates and the easter bunny but what about the real reason. In church two weeks ago, I learnt something new about easter. Jesus didn't weep in the garden because he was afraid to die on the cross but because of the cup he had to drink. Now while I was listening in church I didn't know what was inside of the cup and I almost brushed the whole cup out of the story. But when I found out the real meaning, I was amazed. It was the cup of sin. He had to drink all of the sins that we in the future would commit. Imagine looking into that cup and seeing hell itself. And the horrible things that would enter his soul. Can you imagine?

I am so glad that He did! We have so much to fall down and worship for.
Thanks for your thoughts Jenn. It's great to see you taking God's message to your heart.
Uggghhhh!
When you have to eat something you don't like, it's bad enough.
But when you have to drink the CONCENTRATE of sewage, bitterness, sin and lies, it would poison your system even without all the scourgings and cross-carrying-up-that-rocky-street-of-Jerusalem-known-now-as-the-way-of-the-Cross, let alone make you faint when big spikes went through the virtual nerve & blood supply of the centre of your right hand, then of your left hand, then of your right foot, then of your left foot. There is no mention of him throwing up...which is what happens to some under EXTREME STRESS.... what courage is that!!!
It's amazing in a way that he survived on the Cross for the few hours that he did...!!
Thanks for the insight, Jef!!
